More Info!

Hey Folks, it's a beautiful day here on the summit, the flows are the rise again, and mother nature looks like she's going to be in our favor though the race day!
Just in case no one knows where the Sierra Market is, you can mapquest it, here's the address:
575 S. Auburn St, Colfax, CA 95713
By the way this race in not only a women's race, the California Women's Raft Team is hosting it. Seems there is some confusion in some of the emails we've been receiving...
FYI: There is not any drinking water down at the put in/ campground so be sure and bring your own!

Event Updates!

Warning!!!  Attention Boaters, if you have not been on the river yet this year, heads up, there is a kayak stuck on the right side of the run at Bogus Thunder.  There have been several attempts made to get it out, and it's not budging.  Depending on the flow it may not be wise to run that line in a raft...
Volunteers: Please meet at the Sierra Market in Colfax at 8am.

Race Fees: Below are the race fees for the different divisions of boaters... we had previously listed an "estimated race fee" of $10, unfortunately that is not enough to cover our costs for gas of the shuttle vehicles and race insurance.
Kayakers:  $15 p/p
R2 Rafts:   $15 p/p
Cataraft:    $20 p/p
Raft Team (4 plus): $60 per team

Camping: We have gotten permission to use the seasonal campsites behind the locked gate (12 sites). We will only be allowing fellow boaters to camp there. The Fee is $15 per site, only 8 people sleeping and 2 cars are allowed to be at each site, so please carpool! There is additional parking in the day use area for a fee of $5. PLEASE be responsible and pay your appropriate fees... anyone not doing so will be fined $69. PLEASE COOPERATE with this so that we may be allowed to host this event in the years to come.

Awards Ceremony & BBQ: The California Women's Team is planning an awards ceremony/ barbeque after the race, so bring some extra cash if you'd like food and drinks. Don't worry it will be reasonably priced.

Event T-Shirts: We will be selling T-shirts for $15 (see the design at the top of this post). Your purchase will help support the future travels of the California Women's Raft Team!
